Final Confession

I have done a ton of 'fessing up this year.  I feel lighter and more at ease with my life.  But time for my final confession of 2011.

I confess that 2011 went by so quickly.  When my 9 YO agrees with me, then you know it just zoomed past.

I confess that the prospect of 2012 being the end of the world as we know it, it not all bad.  Return quickly Lord Jesus.  I am ready!

I confess that I purposely used that statement in the previous confession just so you would have REM in your head the rest of the day.  You are welcome!

I confess that I have gained a little weight, lost a little weight, and gained a little weight this past year.  That comes out even, right?

I confess that when we began the 2011 Challenge last year in January, I was skeptical of us actually finishing anything.  We  have dozens of unfinished projects in this house.  But for the most part, we have!  We have prayed more together, gotten outside our comfort zones.  We memorized Psalm 139 as a family(yes, the whole thing!) and sacrificed our money the best way we could.  We have read the Bible every night together and are closer as a family.  Winning!

I confess that I have grown as a blogger this year and I am happy with where my blog is and the future of it!

I confess that I have done some decluttering in this house this year.  Over 20 black bags of donations and tons of stuff sold on eBay.  Yet still my house looks like a thrift store.  Junk everywhere!  I guess I have more work to do, huh?

I hope that everyone has a great and happy new year.  I pray that 2012 is a blessed and wonderful year for you!  Be safe!  Love to you all!

Mamarazzi is back!  She took a bloggy vacation and is back!  She was missed but I still confessed with Debra at Housewife Eclectic.  Head over and check them both out!  They are great ladies!

'Fess Up Friday

Time once again to put everything out there for all the world to see! I am so thankful that I can confess to you all! If you want to join in the fun, head over to Mamarazzi and link up! You will feel better for it. This weeks post is a lot less heavy than last week's.

I confess that I like driving fast. I think I should have driven for NASCAR! Not sure how I feel about not peeing for like 7 hours, though.

I confess that the guy who was peeing in the ladies' restroom at my restaurant gave me the creeps. Dude, can't you read the sign on the door? And why don't you close the stall door? My hubby says that very few men do unless they are doing #2.

I confess that I am glad I am a woman! The main reason is the previous confession.

I confess that though I am at my goal size as far as my body is concerned, not working out makes me feel lumpy. Lumpy is never good unless you are a mashed potato and I am clearly not but I would like to eat some right now......

I confess that my kids' rooms overwhelm me. They can clean them and then 5 minutes later when I show up to vacuum, they are cluttered and messy again! I need help! I have 1/2 a mind to just take a rake and put all the stuff in a box and take it to Goodwill! I am serious!

I confess that I love the friends that God has brought into my life right now. They are supportive and loving and accepting. "A friend loves at all times" Proverbs 17:7. Thank you, Lord, for my friends!

Transparent Thursday

So some super confessions today! What do you have to confess? I know you are out there just saying that you can sympathize so please do!

I am feeling a bit run down right now! Not sick, mind you but just worn out from burning the candle at both ends. That thought leads to.....

I need some substantial time without the kids. Not just a few hours but a few days. Unfortunately, I don't have anyone who can take all 4 for us right now! Bummer!

I am really enjoying home school this year. I feel like I have come into my own, if you will. I like the subjects that I am teaching and the students. We are having fun and learning!

I compare myself and my students to other moms and students. I don't like doing that. I know my kids are individuals but I am competitive and want them to know as much as others their ages. I gotta quit putting that on them!

My clutter problem is getting better but is still a problem. Why can't I defeat it? I know, because I have no help from at least 4 other people in this house! I have instituted the policy that if it is on the floor when I sweep at 11 pm, it goes in the trash!

Whew!!! Feel much better! How 'bout you???? What is on your mind today?
