Turbo Fire Update

I haven't updated my results in a few weeks because I haven't been pleased. However, I will post some great results. I have stuck to it for the most part only missing a day or so. So here is my update:

I have lost 3 lbs (not anything to write home about, right?)

I have lost 3/4 of an inch on each thigh and I am only 3/4 of an inch from my goal.

I have lost 1 1/4 of an inch on my bottom.

I have exceeded my goal for my hips by 1 in! Woo hoo! I am going for another inch.

I have reached my goal of 34" for my stomach and I am going for 1 more inch.

I have lost 1.5" in my waist. I am just .5" from my goal.

My chest hasn't changed any and I think I am as small as I am going to get.

I have lost a total of 9.75 inches and I am so proud of that. A lot of what I have left around my belly is loose skin from the C-section/hysterectomy that I had 3 years ago. I know that it won't go away without a tummy tuck so I may be stuck with it unless you have a spare $25,000 lying around somewhere. I am only 1/3 of the way through the 90 program so I hope to have more and better results!

Go TurboFire!

My Review-TurboFire

I have been sweating for 1 week already on Turbo Fire. It is a tough workout. While I haven't seen any results except I lost 1 inch in my waist, I did not change my diet. So starting tomorrow, I will go back on my low carb diet. I tried it Weight Watchers way and lost nothing. The best way for me to lose weight is to drop carbs and sugar. Why tomorrow? Well, I have a date with the hubs tonight and I want to eat the yummy carb loaded German food in which we are going to partake. And then we are going to walk downtown with our ice cream cones. So tomorrow. Here are my exercise journal entries for each day's exercise:
FYI: the numbers are the general time you spend on each part of the video.

Day 1: started today Fire 30 Stretch 10.... intense calorie burn, lots of sweat, cheerleadery(not a word), definitely need to do the "new to class" option, trembling, good music

Day2: HIIT 15 Stretch 10.....sore from yesterday, high intensity(thus HI of HIIT), short, lots of sweat

Day3: Rest(good)

Day4: Fire 45 EZ....I did the wrong one! I was supposed to do Fire 30 and Stretch 10. OOPS!! I couldn't quite finish it. I stood panting for the last 5 minutes. Everything is covered in sweat even in between my fingers.

Day5: Fire 55EZ........Finished! Woo hoo! <3 the music. My foot hurts a little and my knees need some work. Worked my core

Day6: Fire 30 Stretch 10......My fave by far. I feel better doing this the 2nd time. Hope it works.

Day 7: Core 20 Stretch 40.......Hips shaking, abs tight and sore, relaxed at the end of yoga. I am always skeptical of yoga. My delts are sore as are the muscles around my spine. A good kind of sore.

Take away thoughts: feel better in general about my body. I always feel better when I work out. I am going to begin to watch what I eat. Muscles that I have never felt before are sore. I know that this is going to work and as I get more acquainted with the moves and the rhythm I will get more benefit from this. I love to dance and this lets me pump up the jam!

My Review-TurboFire

To be honest with you, I am not someone who does reviews. I am not sure exactly how that works in bloggy land so I just don't look that hard for it. However, as I was taking a nap the other day, I saw an infomercial for a new exercise program. Being as I love infomercials(Billy Mays hooked me to OxyClean), I perked right up! There was this lady from Beachbody talking about her new workout DVDs. They looked interesting! The program is called TurboFire by Chalene Johnson. Here is the description from the website:

TurboFire® is the intense new cardio conditioning program

from fitness innovator Chalene Johnson. She'll help you get leaner with exercises that burn up to 9x more fat than regular cardio does. And with more than 20 smoking-hot music remixes, TurboFire will pick you up and push you past your limits.

Chalene's New to Class option also gives you the breakdown on how to do each move with the right form.

So forget the excuses. Forget the gym. Now the hottest classes in Southern California come to you.

I took the challenge and purchased the program. I am going to lose the last 14 pounds or so left that I have to lose! So in that regards I am going to do this program and do a weekly review on it. I will give you the details about it and you can trust that I am not being paid to do it! I paid for the program myself. Not only that but I will be posting results, good or bad! I will talk about diet and my age and such! So here goes......as of this morning:

weight:149 goal: 135

thighs: 22.5 " goal 21"

bum:39" goal 37"

hips: 38" goal 37"

stomach: 36" goal: 34"

waist: 29.5" goal: 27.5"

chest: 31" goal: 29.5"

So what can you expect? You can expect honesty, reality, and results! I will give you the most honest answers and results possible! I will do my best to adhere to the schedule set before me by the creator of the DVD. If you want to follow along, follow me and I will take you on my journey to 40(3 years from now)!
