'Fess Up Friday

Photobucket

Mamarazzi is taking a much needed break from blogging.  Head over to see Aubrey on High-Heeled Love.  She is a blogger from SC!  I am glad to hook up with her!

I confess that I am mad at our lawn mowers.  Neither one works and our grass is a foot tall.

I confess that my hubby says he can fix it and I believe him...but shhhh, secretly I want a new one.

I confess that my hubby built me a computer from stuff he had and other stuff he got at Goodwill.  I wanted a tablet but this will do!  It only cost $15 as opposed to $300+ so I am happy.

I confess that our service to commission 54 missionaries to go out to the mission field was amazing.  Some of them are going to very dangerous parts of the world that are dark and in need of the light of Jesus Christ.

I confess that I wish I could go.  I have gotten the call but my hubby has not yet and our debt is well, too big!

I confess that I asked God not to send me somewhere where women are 2nd class citizens.

I confess that I am fearful that that is exactly where God is going to send us.

I confess that this weather has been dreamy.  50s at night and 70s and sunny during the days...ahhhhhhh!

I confess that the news this week has disturbed me!  I am praying and earnestly asking the Lord for guidance and wisdom for our leaders.  This is a perilous time in which we live!

I confess that I have said numerous times, "Lord, come quickly!"  However, there are 3100+ people groups who have never had the opportunity to hear the soul-saving, life-changing gospel of Jesus.

I hope that you are having a great weekend!  Enjoy some football and fun and family!

"Fess up Friday

I have been trying to hold my tongue.  On Facebook, I have been so well behaved but since this is my blog, I am gonna speak my peace.  BE WARNED:  Go no further if you don't wish to be offended.  Hook up with Mamarazzi(if she will still have me) for you confessions.  I look forward to hearing your confessions.

I confess that I am looking forward to taking some of the youth girls to Charlotte, NC for a girls conference called Worthy.  I am so excited to spend some time with these young women of God.  Pray for us, if you are praying people.  We leave Friday afternoon and return Saturday evening.  We will be finding our worth in God rather than other people or the world.

I confess that the DNC platform change has disturbed me.  I am an independent woman voter and this was terrible.  The very name of God was booed and Israel and Jerusalem was booed while abortion was cheered.  If you are despising the name of God and celebrating the murder of unborn children, then you are not my party.

I confess that there is no way to argue the above.  People are so divided that I don't know if there is any middle ground.

I confess that I am an independent, Christian, conservative.  I am not a Republican.  I am not a Democrat.  I believe though that all life is sacred and that mocking God and life is not cool!  I would forsake my core beliefs if I felt that someone could fix the problem for my kids and  grandkids.

I confess that I am over the politics.  I wish it were over already!

Hook up with Mamarazzi if you want to confess.  Have a great weekend!

More confessions!  I hope you have a great weekend!

I confess that Labor Day weekend is upon us and for us here in Hendo that means Apple Festival.

I confess that I am already tired thinking about this weekend and how tired I am going to be on Monday.

I confess that I have written a couple of posts about apple festival weekend so check them out here.

I confess that for this weekend any hope of diet or exercise is thrown out the window.  I have no time for exercising and no time for cooking so I guess I will begin again on Monday.

I confess that I want to talk about shoes.  I picked these beauties up at a thrift store for $1.40.  They are Tommy Hilfiger and they were my size!  Super cute!

I confess that I love taking my kids on field trips.  Thanks to our educational sponsors, Maga and Granddaddy, we went to Myrtle Beach for the day.  We had a blast!  See....
1st time with his feet in the water

Not for them!

3rd Grade this year!

1st!

What? 5th?  How time flies!

Not to be left out!

Putt Putt with our generous benefactor!
I confess that football is finally here and everyone in our home is happy!

I confess that I love football!  Love, I mean, love!

I confess that I came home from aforementioned trip and my hubby had washed and changed our sheets, did 3 loads of laundry, swept, cleaned our room and worked all week!  Who is a lucky girl?  Me, that's who!

I confess that I love that man!

I confess that I need to get ready for work!  Ugh!  30 hours in 3 days!  Waiting tables!

Head over to Mamarazzi and link up with her party and see what she is confessing about her hubs!

We Want to Know....

null

I am hooking up with Mamarazzi for We Want to Know Wednesday.  She and Crazy Mama have some questions to be answered.  I have some experience with these question so I thought I would add my 2 cents worth.  Here are the questions:

1. If you are sick in bed how do you entertain yourself? TV, books, sleep?
2. Do you share your medical drama with the world or keep it to yourself?
3. Do you pray, send healing thoughts & hugs or good vibes to friends when they are ill or sad?
4. If someone offers to bring in dinner to you or your family, do you let them?
5. If you could ask for any meal or treat when you were sick/sad/healing, what would it be?

1. If you are sick in bed, how do you entertain yourself? TV, Books, sleep?

I have had a lot of experience with this.  I spent 118 days on bed rest with my last child.  81 of those I spent in the hospital.  I spent a lot of time reading, watching TV, sleeping, playing games on POGO.com.  I prayed a lot and wrote journal entries and then prayed some more.  As for TV, there was a writers' strike that year so there were no new shows.  I rewatched all of the Cosby Shows and fell in love with Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs.  If you want to read a little more about my time in the hospital, then head over here .

2. Do you share your medical drama with the world or keep it to yourself?

I did share what was going on with me through a website called LotsaHelpingHands.  This is an amazing site that lets you keep people updated with what is going on with you and lets them sign up to help out with your needs.  Needs like food, transportation, prayer requests, childcare, etc.  My bed rest was before Facebook became popular so I this was all I had.  My friends sent my writings to their friends and who sent it to theirs.  We ended up getting letters from all over the world saying that they were praying for us.

3. Do you pray, send healing thoughts & hugs or good vibes to friends when they are ill or sad?

I am a firm believer in prayer.  I believe in God hearing those prayers and answering them!  I have seen miracles during my time on bed rest that the doctors couldn't explain medically.  I have prayed for others and seen the healing hand of God.  This study talks about prayer and healing.  But, God can't always be boxed in by science and studies.

4. If someone offers to bring in dinner to you and your family, do you let them?

Absolutely, I live in the south and that is what we do.  Death, sickness, sadness, stress all call for food to be brought.  I had a hard time letting people help me at first but my husband explained to me that for some people acts of service is a love language for them.  To deny them the pleasure of helping you is to deny them the gift that God has given to them and thus to deny them a blessing.  We were so blessed by the 100s (yes, that number is accurate) of meals brought to us including Thankgiving and Christmas.  I like to take meals to people.  When I can, I do!

5. If you could ask for any meal or treat when you are sick/sad/healing, what would it be?

My go to comfort food is mashed potatoes!  I love them!  KFC, Bojangles, or home made, I will eat them!  Bring them with gravy though or it is a deal breaker!

So how would you answer these questions?  Check out Mamarazzi's website for others who answered these questions and link up for yourself!

'Fess Up Friday

Time again to confess!  I am really exhausted right now so my confessions may be all over the place.  Head over to Mamarazzi for a more coherent confessional if you so choose.
Photobucket

I confess that my son's face as he was wheeled away from me yesterday in the hospital was almost more than I could take.  He never cried out or screamed but he wept silent tears!  Tough!

I confess that holding on my chest for the past few days has brought back sweet memories of him sleeping on my chest in the NICU when he was only 4 lbs.

I confess that I am so glad to not hear him breathing.  He used to sound like Darth Vadar but now he breathes quietly!  His future wife will thank me someday!

I confess that my hubby actually agreed with me that we need to challenge each other to do Insanity.  Now, I just need to get that in writing!

I confess that the Olympics has me all riled up!  I love watching our young people compete.  USA USA USA!

I confess that I am glad that I have started the kids back to school!  Truth be told, they were getting a little bored!  All of my students are doing so well!

That's it for now!  Have a great weekend!  Check out my post from yesterday if you want to see what went on with AJay's surgery!

I confess that this situation with Chick Fil A makes me sick!  The pro-gay marriage people are doing the very things that they accuse Christians of.  Twisting words, intimidation, lying, bullying are not appropriate ways to handle the situation.  We are a capitalist society so let the market speak.  People either will or will not support.  CFA's decision to close on Sundays have not harmed them.

I confess that if S. Truett Cathy and Dan Cathy were Muslims, this would be a non-issue!.  No mayor or elected official has a right to say that a business cannot operate in their city or district due to religious beliefs.  What the heck is going on in this country?  Even the ACLU came out in support of CFA's right to have a business wherever they want!  I NEVER agree with the ACLU but I guess there is a 1st time for everything.

I confess that I will be attending the support CFA day on August 1st.  I will also be kissing my husband in support of the kiss in that is supposed to happen on August 3.  Those having the kiss-in at CFA will never find more loving or supportive people to protest!  Good luck!

I confess that Six Flags over Ga was a blast this week!  My kids earned free tix for reading this year.  I earned a free ticket for being their teacher.  So much fun!

I confess that we ate at CFA twice during our trip.  The people there are always so nice and friendly no matter which one you patronize!

I confess that I am not nervous about my 4YO's surgery next week.  He is having his monstrous tonsils and adenoids removed. They are the size of a full grown adult male.  They keep him from breathing well at night so he suffers from sleep apnea.  So glad to hear him breathe correctly!

I confess that I am stoked about the Olympics beginning this evening!  I hope Michael Phelps wins a whole boat load of gold medals!  Good luck to the entire American team!

What are you in need of confessing?  Head over to Mamarazzi and see what her husband confessed for her since she is feeling a little peaked!

'Fess Up Friday

What a week!  Whew!  I need to confess just for my sanity!  So hook up with Mamarazzi and confess yourself. Also, read some confessions from others.  So here goes!

I confess that I am loving me some Dallas.  The theme song gets me going and reminds me of my childhood!  It is a great show!

I confess that I skeptical about Dallas but it has proven to be a fantastic summer show!

I confess that my scalp is driving me crazy!  I have some sort of thing going on with it.  Pieces of my scalp and chunks of hair are causing me much grief!  It is getting better with T-Gel but not cured.

I confess that my emotions are all over the place recently.  I have had some family issues going on and work things.  I am just over it!

I confess that I am tired of people ignoring my feelings in favor of theirs.  My feelings are as important as others but some narcissistic people don't think so.  Everything is all about them!  So done!

I confess that this week at work has been a doozy!  I was bitten at work(a restaurant) by a dog.  A Yorkshire Terror, I mean, Terrier.  I can't even brag about it being a German Shepherd or Pit Bull but an 8lb dog!  The owners never even apologized!  I had to have a Tetanus shot.  Not happy!

I confess that we had to give our black lab mutt away.  My kids are so sad and so are we.  I think we might get another for Christmas!  We will see!

Mamarazzi is taking a break but sadly I cannot quit confessing!  So here goes.  Check out Aubrey and High-Heeled Love(who doesn't love this name?).  She is hosting the confessional while Mama maxes and relaxes for the summer!

I confess that I loved the Mud Run on Sunday.

I confess that it was a baby on comparison to some of the others I have seen.

I confess that it was not a baby to my thighs, calves, and forearms.

I confess that I want to run a 5K soon.

I confess that I have been hearing the theme from "Good Luck Charlie" in my head and dreams.

I confess that we have been lazy this summer and this isn't on my list of things to do!

I confess that I we need some time away from the kids!

I confess that they need to go to Camp Grandma's for a few days!

I confess that I need to lose about 10-15 lbs and I am not above radical dieting to do it!  Watch out Grumpy times are a-comin'!

What are you confessing this week?  Just cause Mama is vacating doesn't mean you have to!

Time again for my weekly confessional.  Hope your week has gone well.  Check out Mamarazzi and her Bitty Bit confessional.

I confess that this week has been both great and sucky!

I confess that the previous confession is because of menopause.

I confess that I need to take something but I am scared.  I am too young(38) and don't want to be on hormones forever.

I confess that my hubby wants something to give.

I confess that I need a hormone test.  I don't want to pay for it(no insurance).

I confess that I am enjoying my time not doing school with the kids.  I am getting stuff done.  Yep yep I am!

I confess that I planted my garden and I am a little behind.  But, since my tomatoes and cukes produced until November last year, I am not overly concerned.  I planted tomatoes, zucchini, corn, cukes, and jalapenos.

I confess I am nervous about canning them.  I have never canned before.

I confess that my hubby passed his big, HUGE test to be a licensed surveyor in SC.  Now he is certifiable certified in 2 states.  More marketable!

I confess that my confessions are all over the place kind of like my brain.  Y'all are getting a glimpse into my crazy, mixed up head!

I confess that I am done!  Have a great weekend and remember those soldiers who have fought for your freedom!  Happy Memorial Day!

'Fess Up Friday

Hey, y'all!  Time to confess again!  I hope you have had a great week!  Head over to Mamarazzi and check her out!  Here we go:

I confess that my dog ate a bag of groceries that included a loaf of bread and 2 of my diet chocolate bars and the plastic bag.  Bad dog!

I confess that I shouldn't have left the groceries out on the floor.  Bad owner!!!

I confess that I am worried about him.  I think he may be sick!  Poor dog!

I confess that our dog has the best name ever...Meatball!

I confess that the Marriage Amendment thing in NC has driven me crazy!  People on both sides have been disingenuous and flat out rude!  It is over and can we move on?  The real political thing is just getting ready to ramp up.  I may be defriending some people who are unable to control themselves.

I confess that I was surprised to find out how my gay friends felt about the amendment.  Not saying anything else.

I confess that we have had the best strawberries here!  I get them from Strawberry Hill, SC.  They are red, huge, and sweet!  I have made lots of strawberry freezer jam!  It is so good!

I confess that I hosted a Dove Chocolate Discoveries party on Monday and by far it was the best tasting stuff I have had in a long time.  My friend began selling it and I am happy that she did!  Wish y'all could have tasted the chocolate mousse and martinis!  MMMMMMMMM!!!!

I confess that my girls are having such fun in softball!  They are good(if I do say so myself)!

I confess that my confessions are all over the board as I am this week!

Have a super fantabulous weekend!

'Fess Up Friday

This week I am up in arms.  Head over to Mamarazzi and maybe you can find something more peaceful.

I took a stand on NC's marriage amendment 1. It is an amendment that defines marriage as between 1 man and 1 woman.  Some people don't want it and while I don't agree, I support their right to believe what they will.  But, if I heard "judge not if you don't want to be judged." once then, I heard it a dozen times.  So here is my confession:

I confess that I am tired of being labeled judgmental by the very same people who are judging me.

I confess that I found this from a website called Consuming Fire Ministry

I confess that I am publishing this in its entirety:

By: John Duncan
The most misquoted verse in the Bible is probably Matthew 7:1, "Judge not that ye be not judged." We hear this verse multiple times a day. At Troy State University in Alabama, a professor we met even said that it was one of the Ten Commandments. Too often we have heard sincere, misinformed Christians and unbelievers alike say, "I don’t want to judge anybody, but..." Ironically, the one who screams "judge not" is often the one passing judgment on you!

Let’s See What the Bible Really Says About Judging:

"The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment." (Psa 37:30)

"With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth." (Psa 119:13)

"Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." (Prov 31:9)

Jesus commended Simon, "Thou hast rightly judged." (Luke 7:43)

"Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt show her all her abominations." (Ezek 22:2)

"But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." (1 Cor 2:15)

"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" (1 Cor 6:2)

"Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?" (1 Cor 6:3)

There are many other passages and verses in the Bible about judging. While God is our ultimate Judge, He has also commanded us to judge according to the Word of God.

According to the Webster’s Dictionary, to judge means "to discern, to distinguish, to form an opinion, to compare facts or ideas, and perceive their agreement or disagreement, and thus to distinguish truth from falsehood." Therefore, when you say that your neighbor is a "good person," you are passing a judgment (forming an opinion) just as much as when you say that the thief is a "bad person."

If there were no judgment...
All the prisons would be empty and thieves, serial killers, drug dealers, rapists, and murderers would be loose in your neighborhood.

You could not discipline your children and teach them not to steal, lie, do drugs, or give in to peer pressure.

School could not be mandated (by parents or govt) but if children did attend, they could not be evaluated as to their progress. Everyone should graduate regardless of their advance. Students could not be graded or disciplined.

You could not judge any false doctrine and would have to allow it to be taught from your church’s pulpit ("discerning" is the same thing as "judging").

You should leave your children with anyone who said was qualified to be a baby-sitter. You should not bother to check his/her background. Later, you should not be upset if this baby-sitter turned out to be a child-molester, because "thou shalt not judge."

You should marry anyone that asked. You shouldn’t worry about his/her character or beliefs. What if he beats you up? What if she runs around on you? You shouldn’t get so mad because "thou shalt not judge."

Hopefully you can see the folly of such silly doctrine by now. The devil has been successful to push the church further and further into a corner, while everyone else comes out of the closet with their sins. Most often, those who tell you "not to judge" them do so because they are either hiding something or want to continue doing it without reaping negative effects for it. In the campuses where we have been, students say that we shouldn’t judge (form an opinion of) fornicators, drunkards, liars, homosexuals, or the like. However, they fail to realize that sin harms them and their neighbors. A caring, loving Christian will judge all situations according to the Word of God and call sinners to repentance.

The church has become intimidated by the opinions of the world as they scream, "You religious bigots, hatemongers, and intolerant people (which are judgments in themselves), do not judge me!" However, God clearly commands us to judge so we won’t be deceived. Why would the command to judge be so vehemently attacked in society? Obviously, if the church stops judging and using our common sense, we will no longer be able to distinguish good from evil, we will buy into the politically correct idea of moral relativism (what’s good for you may not be good for me), and we will bow down to the devil’s wishes to deceive us, our family, and our friends.

Even more disturbing is to see church leadership saying, "do not judge." Many pastors lead their sheep astray and keep them under their manipulative control by telling them that they have a "critical spirit," they are "prideful," or "judgemental," while all they are trying to do is to discern the truth. If you find yourself in such a church, FLEE for your (spiritual) life!

Now let’s take a look at the famous verse that is so misquoted today and put it in its PROPER context. If we are intellectually honest when looking at this passage, we will find that it is actually teaching us to judge, not to refrain from judging! We have inserted a few comments in brackets.

Mat 7:1-5 "Judge not, that ye be not judged [do not judge others if you do not want to be judged by others; everyone will be judged by God]. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again [if you judge others, they will judge you by the same measures]. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye [how can you judge someone when you are guilty of the sin yourself]? Thou hypocrite [this is the audience in the context; a hypocrite is one who is not living what he is preaching], first cast out the beam out of thine own eye [FIRST judge yourself and get your own life cleaned up]; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye [THEN after you get your life straight, you will be able to discern clearly and you are commanded to help clean your brother’s eye!].

'Fess Up Friday

Friday is here once again!  So you know what that means, confession time!  Time to clear the old conscience and ease into the weekend feeling free.  Head over to Mamarazzi and see why she is sitting in something wet.  Glad to know she isn't married to Mr. Perfect!  Anyway, this post isn't about her.  It is all about me!

I confess that when I wrote yesterday's post, I had no idea that it would resonate with that many people.  I only have a few comments on my blog but the personal emails and FB messages I got were overwhelming.  I struggle off and on with depression and I wanted to paint a word picture of what I feel when I am down.

I confess that I am blessed to have so many people who love me both on here and IRL.

I confess that getting 3 hours sleep last night is gonna come back to haunt me at the high school sleep over we are having with our teens at church tonight.  I am gonna need massive infusions of coffee and concealer.  Maybe I can squeeze in a nap today!

I confess that I am appalled by the bounty put on Tim Tebow's virginity.  In case you didn't hear, a website(I will not name) that is known for promoting infidelity has offered $1 million for proof that someone had sex with Tim in his 1st year with the Jets.  They seem to think that he can't make it to the marriage bed with his purity intact in NYC.  1st, have the been to the Univ of FL?  There are some hotties that go to school there and they wear bikinis.  I would find it highly unlikely that NYC girls are any hotter(no offense).  2nd, this just opens him up to so much trash and skankiness.  He has been added to my prayer list.

I confess that this week's cold snap caught me completely off guard.  I am ready for some more upper 60s low 70s weather!

I confess that I am slowly coming out of my fog, though, I don't think the no sleep thing is going to help.  I am grateful!

I confess that I am bummed that I couldn't participate in Mama's swap.  I just couldn't fit this one in!  I had so much fun last time.  There's always next time!

Randomocity....WWTK

In honor of some great ladies, I am linking up with Mamarazzi and CrazyMama for a We Want to Know Wednesday.  If you want to hop with us, then come on over.  There's room for everyone!

Here are the questions:

Vandy @http://tttandme.blogspot.com/ wants to know: What is your quirkiest habit?

At work, when I am putting in an order, I type in my server number and then I touch the frame of the computer with my pinky finger.  I never noticed it until someone asked my if that was required and now I can't stop noticing it or doing it for that matter!

D @http://beneaththesurfaceanewbeginning.blogspot.com/  wants to know: What TV show do you always stop to watch?

I have and always will be a TV junkie.  I love love love Revenge.  I love Psych and Criminal Minds.  Biggest Loser and American Idol.  My daughter loves Phil Phillips on AI and watches it with me on DVR!

Vanessa @ http://www.jfamforlife.com  wants to know: What do you miss most about being a kid?

I miss wearing dresses and climbing trees.  I miss the innocence of ignorance.  Meaning...that not knowing how tough the world really is sometimes can be a blessing!

Jolene @http://richjmylife.blogspot.com wants to know: How many siblings do you have?

So this is a toughie!  My parents were married before and my dad has 4 kids and my mom 2 from their previous marriages.  Then, they adopted my little brother and me.  There are 6 years between us.  I am not particularly close to any of them.  My birth mother had 6 more kids besides me and I sometimes talk to 1 of them.  I wish I had a sister that was close to me.  We had 2 daughters 28 months apart and they are super close.  Sometimes, I am jealous!

Kenzie @http://cbmommyhood.blogspot.com  wants to know: How do you get yourself out of a funk?

I go for a run or do some strenuous exercise or sleep.  I have been in a funk this week and can't seem to get out of it.  I pray and cry and talk to friends.  But, this week, I haven't even wanted to put in the effort!

'Fess Up Friday

Time again for my confessions!  If you would like to join up, head on over to Mamarazzi and link with her.  She is amazing!

Photobucket

I confess that if you read my post last week about my son renting an adult movie, I should have mentioned that he is only 4 and not a pervert in the making!  Sorry for the confusion.  If you missed it, check it out here.

I confess that I got a little carried away with the perimenopause thing in last week's confession.  I was having a hot flash and lost my mind.  Sorry if I offended anyone!

I confess that this SAHM and working mother thing is just ridiculous and silly(redundant).  Do we really need something else to divide us?

I confess that I am having a blast at the Ultimate Blog Party over on 5 Minutes for Mom.  Those ladies are super terrific!

I confess that I have so much to do in my home and so little time to do it!

I confess that my hubby going to work everyday is a MAJOR adjustment.  I am not doing it well!  I am thankful but after 4 years, I am so much more tired now that I am doing so much more in the house!

I confess that I am glad softball is starting back tomorrow!  My 9YO DD is a great pitcher and we are hoping for a college scholarship one day!

Have a great weekend!

'Fess Up Friday

Time to head to Mamarazzi and confess for the life of your soul!  See what others are confessing and confess for yourself!  Here are my confessions for this week:

I confess that my 20th high school reunion is coming up and I am a bit nervous about it!  I have never been to one before so this is the 1st time I will see the people I graduated with in person.

I confess that perimenopause is a mean ol' salty b-word!  I am over her and I have to just graduate to her older meaner sister MENO-B!  Not happy about that!

I confess that my son ordered an adult pay per view movie off of the TV at $24 while at the grandparents. It was called Horney Coeds!  It was embarrassing to all involved except my son who wasn't even watching the show when they walked in the room.  Just wait until his wedding day!  I just can't believe it!

I confess that my scale has an agenda that doesn't involve me.  Why, oh why, must you act this way?

I confess that people who don't obey traffic laws are gonna be the death of me!  Can't you stop at a stop sign or NOT stop at a yield sign ?  Really.?

I confess that I carbed it out on Easter.  Is there no better way than to say My Lord and Savior is Risen than with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes?  Thank You, Lord for Resurrecting!

Have a great weekend!

Friday is here already!!  Does anyone else feel like this year is speeding by?  Yeah, me too!  Well, since I have already started, let's confess!  If you want to link up with Mamarazzi and join the party, head over to her website and check it out!  Never too late to join the party!

I confess that this perimenopause thing is for the birds!  The hot flashes, the tiredness, the irritability, the inability to sleep are all driving me crazy!

I confess that I got my knickers in a twist last week and I do not apologize for it but it did make for good reading.  If you didn't get to read that post, then check it out here.

I confess that I did my 1st review and give away and only 2 people have responded.  If you want to participate, check it out here.  I am excited to be a part of Social Spark.  Thanks for hooking me up, Mama!

I confess that I cried out loud at the movie October Baby.  I also wrote a review(unsolicited) for it.  If you would like to read it and see what this movie is all about, you can read it here.  I was glad that I was alone in the theater and that it was dark when I left.

I confess that my hubby got a 2nd part time job this week and I am happy about that!

I confess that having him gone so much is gonna be an adjustment!

I confess that I am sad for a friend of mine.  Her daughter fought a brain tumor and cancer.  She was on a trip with the Make a Wish Foundation when she(the daughter) suffered a stroke.  Please, pray for her, if you will!

I hope that everyone has a great weekend!  May God's rich blessings find you!

'Fess Up Friday

Time again to bare my soul!  Confessions....ahhhh wait until you see what I have to confess this time!  Head on over to Mamarazzi and check out what others are confessing!  There are some doozies!

I confess that I did a lot of judging of people on our vacation.  We were at an indoor FAMILY water park where there were small children and very little chance of getting sun.  I have never seen the like of immodest bathing suits!  I am not sure how they didn't have slide burn marks from sliding on so much bare skin.  The message they were sending was not a good one.  And don't even get me started on the ones that were too large for the string bikini!  If your string on your bikini is covered by a fat roll, then you should not be wearing that!  Whew!  I feel better already!

I confess that I was singing some Whitney out loud in the car really really really loudly!  I like to think I sound just like her(I don't).  The people in the car next to me at the light were smiling!  Glad I could add to their face value!

I confess that my hubby and I were almost the only adults at the water park with no tattoos!  We are not  fans of them but to each his own!  I have to share this one...a guy had 1 strip of bacon tattooed on each side of his belly button with the words, "Life is not worth living without bacon."  Now, that is a love of bacon!

I confess that we sneaked AJay onto a water slide!  He was just a smidge too short and they wouldn't let him.  We waited for the lifeguards to rotate out and got him on!  He loved it!  You could feel the smile as he down!  We created a monster!

I confess that Newt Gingrich is driving me batty!  He has about as much chance of winning this election as Ron Paul(whom I like) but he won't get out of the race!  Give it up, Fat Man!  You are just ruining everything for everybody!

I confess that I have Randy Jackson's voice randomly running around in my head.  I hear, "That was pitchy dog!"  I hear it a lot!  I think I need therapy!

I confess that I had more confessions in my head but I had the Noro virus yesterday and can't remember them!  That'll learn me to write down, now won't it!

My Favorite Things Swap

I had the best time with Mamarazzi on her Favorite Things Swap!

Photobucket
I enjoyed shopping for it! I enjoyed wrapping it and I mostly enjoyed the fact that I knew the blogger already and we have a ton in common! My partner was Lisa from Ramblings of the Cool Chick. She is an amazing woman and we ended sending each other similar things! Here is what I got:

1st off Lisa sent a package of her favorite I spy game for my kids!  She is sweet to remember that I have 4 kids!
I got Peeps(which are my favorite candies), and RED nail polish(I sent her some too), some Coconut Mango Lotion from B&BW, some slippers with aloe in them from the same store.  I, also, got a journal and some thank you note cards(sent 1 back to her), a book of devotions with memorable Bible verses, My Sister's Keeper (a movie), some crafting stamps, razors, and a candle. Oh and some CoverGirl Mascara which I use too and is my fave!  This was such a nice surprise to come home from vacation to find!  Thanks, Lisa!  We can swap anytime!  Hugs to you!

'Fess Up Friday

Finally, after missing last week, I am back to confess!  Whew!  This may go long but here goes:

I confess that I am super excited to be getting my Swap on with Mamarazzi!  My swap partner is Lisa from The Cool Chick.  Her gift went out in the mail today and I am way excited for her to get some of my favorite things.  Just call me Oprah except I an fairer skinned and thinner and poor!  Can't wait to hear how she likes it!

I confess that Bambi was just as sad to me as it was when I was little.  My kids love it!

I confess that I am excited to be going on vacation to TN.  My kids have never stayed in a hotel before so this is making them twitterpated!

I confess that the NASCAR race this past weekend had even me watching til 1 am.  How often do you get to see a race track on fire?  Hardly ever!

I confess that my time on line has been severely cut.  I just seem to be busier than I normally am!  Don't know why!

I confess that the "Game of Thrones" book series is addictive.  I hope the TV show is just as good!

I confess that I had a great birthday and I milked it for the whole week.  Yep!  Sure did!  I ate terribly and had so much fun!  38 doesn't seem so bad!

I confess that I have a ton to do before we leave on vacation.  I am gonna need help from the chilluns and hubby!  Plus I have to work over the next few days.

I hope that you all have a great weekend!  Head over to Mamarazzi for her weekly linky and her confession!
