What Vacation Looks Like?

I know that most people don't understand but we have never been on vacation with just our family before. Michael and I have been by ourselves. We have been with Michael's parents but never something we designed and paid for ourselves.  We went on eBay and found a great deal at a water park in Sevierville, TN called Wilderness in the Smokies.  Now, before you say anything, part of it is indoors.  We are staying at the Wyndham that is on the property for less than we could stay at a hotel in the area.  I will be writing more about this later.  But I thought I would post some pics for you to see.  My kids were super stoked and love being here.  We have ridden water slides and swam and learned to jump from the sides(my littlest one) and so much more. We created memories with our kids!  I hope that they will remember this for a long time to come.  Here are some pictures!

'Fess Up Friday

Finally, after missing last week, I am back to confess!  Whew!  This may go long but here goes:

I confess that I am super excited to be getting my Swap on with Mamarazzi!  My swap partner is Lisa from The Cool Chick.  Her gift went out in the mail today and I am way excited for her to get some of my favorite things.  Just call me Oprah except I an fairer skinned and thinner and poor!  Can't wait to hear how she likes it!

I confess that Bambi was just as sad to me as it was when I was little.  My kids love it!

I confess that I am excited to be going on vacation to TN.  My kids have never stayed in a hotel before so this is making them twitterpated!

I confess that the NASCAR race this past weekend had even me watching til 1 am.  How often do you get to see a race track on fire?  Hardly ever!

I confess that my time on line has been severely cut.  I just seem to be busier than I normally am!  Don't know why!

I confess that the "Game of Thrones" book series is addictive.  I hope the TV show is just as good!

I confess that I had a great birthday and I milked it for the whole week.  Yep!  Sure did!  I ate terribly and had so much fun!  38 doesn't seem so bad!

I confess that I have a ton to do before we leave on vacation.  I am gonna need help from the chilluns and hubby!  Plus I have to work over the next few days.

10 Things Moms DON'T Do When....

....they are childless for a few days.

1. wipe bottoms or noses.

2. referee arguments.

3. say "stop that" or "don't do that" or "don't eat that".

4. cut up food into tiny bites.

5. pick out clothes for someone else.

6. bathe someone else.

7. lose a train of thought.

8. pick up toys on the floor.

9. sing songs from "Yo Gabba Gabba" or "Fresh Beat Band."

10. watch the same cartoon movie for the 150,000th time.

Ten things a Mom Can Do When.....

....she has a day or 2 without kids.

1. Relax by the pool/ocean without worrying about anyone drowning. She may even fall asleep.

2. Have a complete conversation without being interrupted by "mommy, mommy, mommy"

3. Shop without having to take anybody pee or worry about them getting bored or breaking something.

4. Sleep late! 'Nuff said.

5. Eat a HOT meal. Not having to cut up anyone's food or take someone to the bathroom means her food is still hot!

6. Eat an ice cream cone without having to share it with anyone.

7. Read an entire chapter or paragraph without being interrupted.

8. Get a shower before 10 pm or after 8 am.

9. Go somewhere with ease. No diapers, bottles, extra change of clothes, or car seats to fiddle with.

10. Play a game with other adults!

Alison at Mama Wants This confesses that she spent 5 hours on Twitter when Blogger was down last week! ( I spent a lot on Facebook).

"I like big Butts and I cannot lie" I confess that I know all the words to this song and as I was watching One Hit Wonders of the 90s, I got to sing it all over again! I relate to this song especially since I have a big bum!

I confess that I have gained 5 lbs. I haven't been exercising regularly and eating right but that changes tomorrow! Stay tuned for my plan!

I confess that I have voted every week for the contestants on American Idol. I confess that I love me some Scotty! The 16 year old girl who lives inside of me has a crush on him. Laura Alaina rocks the house too!

I confess that I want to go on vacation this year but alas we cannot afford it!

I confess that my hubby not having a full-time job for 3 years is stressful! Never knowing what is going to happen from week to week can really put a tax on you! But I am relying on God to get us through. We have never gone without and we are truly blessed!
