Big Stuf 2011

We are in Panama City Beach this week for Big Stuf camps with over 1500 youth from all over the US. Some things I learned yesterday:
Running in sand is difficult
We seek to escape the mundane because we love EPIC moments. But God uses the mundane to prepare us for the epic
We need to connect with God with others and with the world. It is ingrained in our DNA
Do we follow Christ to be part of a country club or to be changed and transformed
Virtue: when wise and courageous choices become 2nd nature. Cicero

I am loving the time with my 11 th grade girls. They are growing into beautiful young women of God!

  1. Now I wish a lot of sermons were that short and straight to the point. Could you imagine getting done with church in 15 minutes (that already includes praise and worship, offering, and sermon) and being the first ones in line at Golden Coral on a busy Sunday afternoon...

  2. Traveling with the youth must be fun and very educational in the sense that you learn things not in an unconventional manner but through the daily activities you actually experience. The best lesson of all! ;-)
