10 Reasons Why I Hate Wal Mart!!!!!!!!!

I know, I know, Wal Mart is great but does anyone else get annoyed when going there? They are one of the largest employers in the country and I have family that works there. That being said: here are the reasons I hate shopping there!

10: They don't double coupons. Why? I don't know!

9: I am easily distracted by all the other stuff in the store and can't just grocery shop.

8: People drive the wrong way in the parking lot. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Why can't they just paint them straight?

7: The massive amounts of screaming children! I don't take mine in and if I did I would not allow them to scream like that!!!

6: I always have to stand in line. There are 27 registers and only 2 open. Sometimes I catch a break and the self-check is open(see #5).

5: The self-check is not for everyone. Some people cannot and should not be allowed to operate this simple machine. Don't get me started on the 20 item or less register!

4: Crazy people! Some who work there and some who shop there. They are walking around mumbling to themselves, missing shoes, showing thongs, and yelling at people.

3: The bathrooms are always closed when I am there.

2: The carts that people drive around go soooooo slow! I know they are necessary but like the person in front of me driving 25 in a 45, it drives me nuts!

1: People who park their carts in the middle of the aisles so that no one else can get down the aisle. When you ask them to move, they look at you with that dazed look in their eye. I have been known to move their carts for them.

  1. Funny, funny, funny. I love me some Target, but I refuse to go into WalMart for most of the reasons you listed. I can't deal with screaming children, rude middle of the isle cart parkers and I too am easily distracted. I always end up buying the exact opposite of what I went I went there to buy.

    Happy Wednesday from SITS,

  3. Oh girl, I have a complete love/hate relationship with Wal-Mart! I always come home with some kind of useless item and way more stressed than when I arrived.

Stopping by from SITS - have a great day!

  4. Oh, and add to the list the families who wander slowly down the aisle in a herd...one on the cell phone, one pushing the cart, one just wandering from side to side...and another just slouching along behind. Grrrr....

  5. Hopping over from SITS!
Love your blog! Reminds me of my years in the States.
The only reason I went to Wal Mart was for cheap clothes shopping *sigh* it's soooo much more expensive on this side of the ocean!

  7. The Lines!! I am so with you on that one. But the crazy people? That's one of my favorite reasons to go to Wal-Mart!

  8. When my children were littles (they still are, but I mean toddler age) and they had on no shoes, dirty hair, food all over their face, and messy clothes on, I would refer to them as my little Wal-Mart babies because people actually bring their children to Wal-Mart like that. I know, I was being judgmental. So, I quit. But, the damage had already been done. Now, when they see children misbehaving or looking like they haven't had bath in 3 weeks, I know what they are thinking... "Wal-Mart Baby!" I have now had to go back and teach them NOT to say it out loud!!!! Oh, the things they hear and repeat with gusto!

On a side note, I can't stand Wal-Mart. I do not go to Wal-Mart unless it is absolutely necessary! Last year, I went around 5 times for the whole year. It made for a much better shopping year, and, I saved money!

Have a great day! And, thanks for the laugh!

  9. I really don't like walmart either- it's cheaper than everywhere else, but it just seems so cluttered and yucky to me. I like target way better.

My dad always used to say that Walmart smells like dirty diapers.

Just wanted to say that I hate Wal Mart too!!! Every time I go in there my blood pressure rises, I get frustrated and I end up forgetting half of the stuff I went in there to buy! What is it with that store?!?

  14. So true! Whenever I go to Walmart I start getting distracted as you said in #9 and I start thinking "I should really come here more often! Why don't I shop here?" Then by the time I leave the store I have been driven nearly insane by all the items on your list. Also why is it that they always have the friendly greeter at the door but then the check out person is rude? On top of it all I always end up spending more money than I would at the "expensive" grocery store because I buy all the stuff from #9. "Oh ya that's why I never shop there!"

  17. I'm visiting from the SITs 31dbbb, & I can totally relate to the lack of open registers!!! Why do you have so many if you're not going to open them? It's not like Walmart is ever not busy.

  18. So true, and I could add to that list. I never come out of Wal mart happy! Visiting from 31 DBBB!

  19. How about the fact they no longer carry over 500 items they used to - many of which were my favorite? I HATE, loathe and despise Walmart and try to shop locally owned stores as much as I can.

  20. LBDDiaries, I try to do the same as well but very few places anymore offer what they do. I didn't realize that they took 500 items from the shelves!

  27. Yet another first person shooter game this time around, but the first Far Cry was quite good.
Since the controversial introduction of the format in
