Creative Alternatives

My darling daughter and handsome son!

Carving pumpkins has never been my thing. I don't like the way the guts feel on my hands and frankly, it is just too much work for something that is going to rot in a few short days. Over the years, I began painting pumpkins to look like each one of my kids. This has become a tradition for us and they look forward to it every year. This year they picked out their own pumpkins and I painted them at naptime(no paint on the floor for me).

The whole crew!

  1. Loving those pumpkins! Although I LOVE pumpkin seeds, I'm not a big fan of carving pumpkins either.

  2. Only a pumpkin can still smile after being gutted and cut up!

They look great! Once again your children are showing their creativity.

I did not know there were green pumpkins...guess they're just not ripe. :O)
